Elevator Pitch | Part 1 of the Elevator Series

Jeongyeon is off to go on her scheduled photoshoot. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, the company informed her at the last minute that she would be sharing the studio with Im Nayeon.

She sighed heavily as she climbed into the back seat of her manager's car.

“It will only be for a couple of hours,” her manager pleaded. “Try to stay civil, or at the very least, don't tear each other's throats.”

Jeongyeon looked incredulously at her manager through the rearview mirror, “Me? I’m always on my best behavior,” she crossed her arms. “She’s the one that needs a leash.”

It's no secret that whenever the two are around each other, they behave like cats and dogs. Nobody knows what happened, but they used to be really close in high school.

The two of them got to the venue almost simultaneously. Their managers were busy getting their things from their separate cars while they proceeded to the parking elevator. When Nayeon saw her, she rolled her eyes, which made Jeongyeon scoff.

They did not bother to wait for their managers as that would lengthen the time they share such a small space. They rode the elevator in silence for what seemed like hours as they waited to reach the 21st floor. Luckily, no other passengers got in. But since the enclosure walls are made of mirrors, it was hard to ignore each other entirely.

“I see you’ve harnessed your tongue, Yoo,” Nayeon said. “Not trying to attack me with your snappy words.”

Jeongyeon scoffed once more before replying, “I see you have given much attention to what my tongue does or doesn’t do, Im. Should I be flattered?”

Nayeon made faces at Jeongyeon as she blushed irritably.

Cute. Jeongyeon thought. If only she hadn’t become the devil incarnate

Her thoughts were cut short when they arrived at the twenty-first floor, and the door opened. They both took a step forward at the same time, causing them to collide rather forcefully. Unfortunately for Nayeon, who was wearing flimsy stiletto heels compared to the other girl, who was wearing high-cut black boots, she was pushed aside.

Jeongyeon's arm shot up quickly out of reflex to catch the other girl. She held Nayeon's waist to steady her, but this seemed to irritate the girl even more. Instead of thanking her, Nayeon clenched her teeth and hissed barely audible curses at her.

“I hope you don't think I find that threatening,” Jeongyeon laughed. “Nayeon, you don't have fangs. You have adorable bunny teeth.”

Nayeon's face turned a deeper shade of red, with an incredulous expression on her face. Jeongyeon stopped the elevator door from closing and motioned for Nayeon to exit first.

Nayeon huffed and took the first step out, followed closely by Jeongyeon.

The managers did everything they could to keep the two apart. But it appeared that Jeongyeon relished irritating Nayeon as she devised new ways to get the other's attention and annoy her even more. It doesn't take much to accomplish this. A wink, a smirk, a flying kiss, and a finger heart seemed to be enough to make the other roll her eyes and lose focus in her photoshoot.

During the first break, Nayeon went straight to the restroom. When she's around Jeongyeon, she feels suffocated and uneasy.

Of all the people to share this shoot with, why does it have to be her?

She started her deep-breathing routine in front of the mirror. As she closed her eyes while inhaling, the door opened. When she opened her eyes, Jeongyeon was standing behind her, looking at her reflection. Her breath hitched. Nayeon tried to appear imposing, but Jeongyeon stood much taller than her because she removed her heels after her turn at the studio. Her bunny slippers didn't help matters either.

She was about to make a snide remark when Jeongyeon spoke up:

“Why do you hate me?”

The question surprised Nayeon. She examined the other's face in the mirror for signs of sarcasm, but all she found was genuine curiosity. She lowered her eyes, no longer able to meet Jeongyeon's intense gaze. She made an excuse to retouch her lipstick, even though she had already done so a few minutes before.

“I don’t hate you,” she replied. “I just find you annoying.”

“But why?” Jeongyeon persisted. “You used to find me funny.”

“Well, then, what a shame. Not anymore.”

Nayeon made her way to the door when Jeongyeon caught her wrist.

“We used to be friends—” Jeongyeon started.

“I guess that’s just another used to be,” Nayeon interjected—

“—and you used to like me.” Jeongyeon finished.

With that, Nayeon became silent. She pried her hand free from Jeongyeon and walked out.

The staff was mystified when the second half of the shoot started, and the two subjects now regarded each other as invisible. It went on like that until their second break, and the crew could swear the room temperature dropped a few degrees down.

Jeongyeon hated the entire setup. She had been doing well all these years, exchanging snappy comments with Nayeon whenever their paths crossed. But those were fleeting moments. Spending hours with her did things to her that she can't explain.

She knew she shouldn't have cornered her in the restroom. She shouldn't have confronted her in that manner, exposing her vulnerability like a kicked puppy. Jeongyeon chastised herself for allowing old feelings to get the better of her.

To avoid another encounter, Jeongyeon decided to eat her lunch at the stairwell. She can easily bring it with her because she's only allowed to eat a small sandwich during the shoot. When she opened the door to the stairs, she was greeted by a piercing sound that she can only describe as an alarm. When it came to a halt, she opened her eyes to see a terrified Nayeon.

“What are you doing here?!” Nayeon demanded.

“I came here to eat! Why did you have to destroy my eardrums?!” she fired back.

“I got here first, and you startled me!” Nayeon replied exasperatedly, “I was just about to take a bite off my sandwich, and now it’s ruined!”  she said, pointing at her hapless sandwich on the floor.

“Here, have mine.”

“I don’t want it! Why would I want anything that’s—”

“You really have a say on everything, don’t you??” Jeongyeon cut her off as she placed her bagged sandwich on the stairwell.

“Yes! And so? What is it to you if I—”

“If you can’t shut your mouth—” Jeongyeon stepped forward twice, forcing Nayeon to take two steps back until she leaned against the wall. “—I’ll do it for you.”

Jeongyeon cradled Nayeon’s neck with one hand, then paused. She locked eyes with Nayeon as if daring the other girl to move. As if giving her a chance to run and break free. Once she encountered no resistance, she slowly moved her other hand and tentatively slid it around Nayeon’s waist.

Under Jeongyeon's piercing gaze, Nayeon's resolve crumbled.

It was all happening in slow motion. Not because time itself had slowed, but rather because of the two girls' implicit approach to obtaining each other's consent.

When Jeongyeon tilted her head and leaned forward, Nayeon closed her eyes automatically, waiting for the kiss. To her surprise, she felt Jeongyeon’s breath by her ear and heard her low voice: “Why do you hate me?”

Nayeon's heart raced wildly.

“I-I don’t,” she stammered.

The small space between them turned electric as if time had become impatient. Nayeon reached up, clasped both her hands around Jeongyeon's neck, and pulled greedily, finally claiming the anticipated kiss.

The move startled Jeongyeon, wiping clean all her inhibitions. A low groan escaped her lips as she hungrily pressed her body to Nayeon.

Jeongyeon prided herself as a woman of control. But all her frustrations and pent-up emotions chose that moment to break free, manifesting in unbridled vexation.

“Why do you hate me?!” Jeongyeon demanded louder, then began kissing and gliding her tongue down the smooth skin of the other girl's delicate neck. She was intoxicated by Nayeon’s scent, which mingled with fresh sweat.

“I don’t!” Nayeon repeated, moaning with pleasure and a hint of annoyance. She wrapped her arms around Jeongyeon's neck and raised one leg, wrapping it around the other's hip.

Jeongyeon caught her leg and easily lifted Nayeon off her feet, replicating the movement to the other. She pinned Nayeon to the wall, her skirt riding up as she spread her legs to welcome Jeongyeon in between. Jeongyeon pressed Nayeon against the wall with her weight while one hand cradled the other girl's ass. She placed her other hand at the back of Nayeon's head to keep it from hitting the wall.

With feverish intensity building up inside her, Jeongyeon couldn't help the frustration that goes along with it.

"Then why do you always make an effort to annoy me every time we meet?" She demanded, breathing heavily while looking Nayeon straight in the eye.

"I can't believe we're having this conversation while we're in this position!" Nayeon spat in disbelief.

Jeongyeon didn't let go of Nayeon, keeping her grip on her while she stared unblinkingly.

Nayeon stared back at her defiantly.

Jeongyeon became increasingly frustrated and turned on. She began to move again slowly, maintaining eye contact and grinding her hips against Nayeon's core. Nayeon's resolve crumbled once more as she melted helplessly in Jeongyeon's arms, closing her eyes as she felt her center moisten with each grind.

"Let me ask again—"

"I hated it when you went around kissing other girls, but I'm the one you're always hanging out with yet you never looked my way!" Nayeon finally confessed, all in one breath.

Jeongyeon was perplexed for a moment. Then she bit her lower lip, attempting to conceal the forming smile.

"Excuse me; I never went around kissing other girls. They were the ones that kept coming for me! But I never entertained even one." Jeongyeon couldn't help but laugh a bit.

"And you liked it!" Nayeon squirmed, trying to free herself from Jeongyeon. The flood of memories and emotions brought back her tartness.

Jeongyeon refused to budge. As she pressed harder against Nayeon, she squeezed her ass, eliciting a gasp from the other girl.

"I didn't kiss them. I never liked it—" Jeongyeon clarified, her voice lowering. "—but I liked you."

Nayeon struggled to process what the other said, trying to remain angry, but her wetness was growing impatient, craving for attention.

"How could I get to you? You always had boys fawning over you. You smiled at them and kissed a few, all the while reporting to me every time you do so."

With each grind of her hips, Jeongyeon could feel the hot mess building up inside Nayeon's underwear. While she waited for her response, she lifted Nayeon, took a few steps back, and sat on the third step of the stairs. Nayeon is now straddling her and sitting on her lap.

Nayeon held her gaze, but she couldn't fully sit on Jeongyeon as the issue between her thighs was getting a bit out of hand, pun intended.

"I only entertained them to piss you off! You always had some green jokes or sweet pick-up lines thrown my way, and it annoyed me because why make me feel things? Why play with me like that, Yoo? Your sweet nothings were thrown carelessly in the air, and it affected me. It made me fall for you over and over while you smiled, and laughed, and made me fall helplessly in love!" Nayeon held Jeongyeon’s collar as she straddled her on top, shaking her with each sentence.

It was a love confession, but their position and how it began amused Jeongyeon, causing her to laugh.

Nayeon began dismounting Jeongyeon out of sheer annoyance and embarrassment. Jeongyeon stopped her again and drew her closer, snaking the hand on her buttocks further in until it connected to the fabric covering her core. Jeongyeon set the wet cloth aside and easily inserted two fingers into Nayeon's yearning pussy.

The sensation melted all of Nayeon's defiance.  She closed her eyes and began riding Jeongyeon's fingers greedily.

"My jokes and pick-up lines had always been my way of flirting with you — you stupid, hot, and beautiful bunny. All I ever did was flirt with you through the years," Jeongyeon explained between labored breaths. "I've always been in love with you, Im Nayeon."

Jeongyeon didn't know if what she said registered to Nayeon because as she finished her sentence, Nayeon's eyes glazed over, and with a rather high-pitched moan, bit her lower lip. Jeongyeon felt the walls inside Nayeon spasm a few times, indicating her orgasm, so she let the girl ride her high. When she felt Nayeon grow limp against her, panting, she slowly took out her fingers and brought them inside her mouth.  Nayeon’s essence tasted faintly of warm cinnamon, and she reveled in her discovery.

Jeongyeon's position was so inconvenient because her stylist dressed her in leather pants that clung to her curves tightly. She could feel her own wetness trapped inside the hot fabric.

“Nabong?” Jeongyeon implored, using Nayeon’s nickname.

The girl remained sitting on her lap unmoving, head resting on her shoulder, which caused to stir panic in Jeongyeon. She disentangled Nayeon’s arms around her neck and fixed the messy hair of the girl to get a better look at her face. Jeongyeon found her squeezing her eyes shut.

“What are you doing?”

Nayeon squinted at her with one eye before burying her face back again to her neck. Jeongyeon was utterly confused, but then suddenly, she heard Nayeon start to giggle. She couldn’t help chuckling herself, then the two of them burst out laughing.

When she looked at Nayeon’s face again, the girl was blushing profusely and couldn’t even look her in the eye.

Cute.

She kissed Nayeon again. This time at a much slower pace. She can feel in between the light kisses that both of them were smiling. It was exhilarating and sweet at the same time.

They reluctantly ended their make-out session and fixed each other’s clothes and hair as best as they could, then went back to the studio.

The air was tense when they walked in, and the tension elevated even more when the staff noticed them entering together. But, much to their surprise, Nayeon and Jeongyeon exchanged shy smiles before splitting up to get their make-up retouched.

Everything went smoothly until the end of the shoot. After thanking everyone and saying their goodbyes, they were left waiting together in front of the elevator. They let both their managers take the lift ahead of them as they were carrying most of their stuff and will have to prepare their cars as well.

Once they were in the elevator, Jeongyeon brushed her hand against Nayeon’s. She saw her blush and smile through the mirrored door. They held hands and smiled at each other like they were teenagers in love.

“I never suspected your pick-up lines to be real. I always thought you just meant to annoy me.”

“Silly girl. You know I got no jam. So what made you think they were jokes meant for laughs? Even the green jokes weren’t actual jokes to begin with. That was me trying to be sexy.” Jeongyeon recalled, chuckling at her lame flirting skills.

Nayeon rolled her eyes playfully at Jeongyeon. Then she realized the elevator stopped moving. She tried pressing the open button several times before trying the lone red button. They both scanned the enclosure to look for security cameras, only to find none.

“Ugh! Why is this elevator not going down?” Nayeon exclaimed.

“I don’t know about the elevator,” Jeongyeon said, closing in on Nayeon. “ But I can if you want me to.”

From that day forward, Nayeon learned in the most pleasurable way that Jeongyeon doesn't joke around when it comes to her — especially when she speaks in double entendres.

It took some time for the elevator to start working again. Both of their managers were waiting outside when it opened.

"Finally! The elevator stopped working for a while. I thought it would take more time before the two of you get here." Nayeon's manager said.

"Don't fret," Jeongyeon responded. "What's important is that she came."

Nayeon's jaw dropped, and she smacked Jeongyeon's shoulder loudly, causing the other girl to burst out laughing.

Both managers exchanged glances before shrugging and walking back to their respective vehicles.

"Dinner at my place tonight?" Nayeon asked.

"It's a date." Jeongyeon agreed.
